Overall we love our Frigidaire Microwave. Our only issue is the very limited defrost options as it only allows you to choose Meat, Poultry or Fish and then their weight.

I am on my second of these. It is a $700.00 built-in microwave. The first failed after the warranty expired. Began arcing and smoking. Called for repair and was told it was not repairable. I bought a second one as I needed the exact same size as it is a built-in unit. The second unit lasted ten months and did the same thing. According to my appliance store, the microwave emitter is not level, burns the ceramic coating off of the interior wall, and begins arcing and burning. Calls, chats, and texts with Frigidaire takes hours, and responses takes days. If they decide they need something from me, they do not reach out, but simply leave me waiting until I spend hours and hours on chat or text. When you call you are on hold for sometimes hours. Today I have been on chat support for two hours. They determined for them to help me I am required to have a technician come to my house and tag my unit as non-repairable. They have no idea when they can get an authorized technician to come. The infuriating part is Frigidaire knows this is a non-repairable issue as this model has multiple instances of this specific failure.

Intuitive and flexibly functional. Unable to tell for sure from the manual whether it has inverter technology for variable heating or whether it uses the old system of intermittent full power, but the sounds make it appear it is the old system. That is a deduction of one star. The other one-star deduction is for the difficulty of using the variable power feature. Pushing the power level button 7-8 times for low cooking is ridiculous. This machine needs a numerical interface that allows pressing the power level button once and then keying in a level of 1-to-10 or 10-to-100.

The microwave works reasonably well, but there's a few drawbacks.1. The interface is not very intuitive. It took me a long time to figure out how to use the lower power setting.2. The buttons are not very responsive and I often have to mash them a bit from few different angles for the presses to register.

It™™s okay but it™™s not a built in which is what was ordered. It has no lights underneath and it merely fitting on a shelf with some stainless metal around the opening. This is an apartment style. No bells and whistles. The reheat only had 4 settings. It either melts butter or softens ice cream. It™™s hard to administer multi power levels and it tends to clear when you open the door

Very attractive and easy to understand functions. The best quick option is the 10 second button to warm up bread without having to monitor timer. Fast and easy plus lots of power so all the popcorn pops without burning.
